Spring Forward
During our spring forward guest speaker, the one thing that stuck out to me the most in regards to my website and websites in general, was when she talked about the Inbound Methodology. This methodology talks about attracting in an audience, converting them to what you are offering, closing the deal by getting them to purchase or get involved, and then delight when they not only continually return to you but also promote you. When thinking about creating a website it is important to create content that is going to draw in a target audience but also keeps them engaged and active. This can be especially important to nonprofit organizations. Since these organizations are not for profit their biggest ask online is typically going to be for donations. If these organizations are able to create content that is going to draw in an audience and make them want to get involved, then they are going to be successful. The more people enjoy the content that is being put out the better chance of that content being shared and viewed by even more people outside your already set community. This will allow for nonprofits to meet their ask and grow their online communities. While this can be difficult for for smaller nonprofits especially since their online community is so small, it’s crucial that they are consistent in their content to keep their audience around. A solid online community will allow for these organizations to at the very least remain constant with a good possibility of growth.
